A big weekend at the Mt Larcom Show

The Wooderson Solar Farm team enjoyed the community atmosphere at the Mt Larcom Show on 20 & 21 June and engaged with more than 240 people across the two days at the project’s information stall. Central Queensland Power was proud to support the event as a silver sponsor.

Our stall provided an opportunity for locals to learn more about the project and discuss their questions and feedback.

The most popular topics discussed were the project’s location and design, the scale of the solar farm, potential impacts on agricultural land and ecology, opportunities for suppliers, and how the project compares with other renewable energy developments in the region.

Events like the Mt Larcom Show are an important part of our approach to community engagement. They provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for conversations, helping us better understand local perspectives while ensuring the community has access to clear and accurate information.
